The new year means new laws are now in effect in Oklahoma.
Several of the new laws that went into effect on Monday will impact the medical marijuana industry in Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority will now be allowed to employ secret shoppers who will test for compliance and deliver samples to labs.
The OMMA also will be allowed to inspect a minimum of 50 dispensaries annually. By next year, the OMMA will be able to inspect a minimum of 10% of randomly selected dispensaries.
Also, process validation will now be an acceptable testing practice to ensure the marijuana is safe.
