Kentucky's Medical Cannabis License Application Deadline Approaches.

Businesses in Kentucky are running out of time to apply for a medical cannabis license, with the deadline set for August 31st. State officials have reported that more than 180 applications have been submitted so far.

According to the state, a lottery for the licenses will be held later this year, determining which businesses will be granted the ability to legally operate in the medical cannabis industry.

Medical marijuana is set to become legal in the Commonwealth on January 1st.
