Greater Cleveland's First Cannabis Drive-Thru Dispensary Set to Open in South Euclid.
Soon, picking up cannabis in Greater Cleveland will be as easy as ordering dinner at a fast food window.
CERTIFIED Dispensary has scheduled its grand opening on Friday in South Euclid on Cedar Road. Along with having both medical and recreational cannabis, the dispensary will be the first in Greater Cleveland to have a drive-thru.
The dispensary will be the first for the cannabis brand CERTIFIED, a family-owned and operated facility based in Dayton.
The dispensary will have online ordering and order-ahead options along with the drive-thru service. Future services are to include a mobile application and loyalty points.
“We are incredibly excited to connect more directly with the Cleveland community and to be part of the historic forthcoming of Ohio’s recreational cannabis sales,” General Manager Aaron Maholtz said in a news release.
CERTIFIED Dispensary will operate Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All products will have a 20% discount for medical patients in the first 20 days after opening. Recreational customers will receive a 10% discount. Veterans, indigent medical patients, and badged industry employees will receive 20% discounts on top of daily deals.
Ohioans had to wait nine months to buy marijuana legally after 57% of voters passed an initiated statute last November that allowed adults aged 21 and older to purchase and possess up to 2.5 ounces of flower and 15 grams (which is about a half ounce) of extract, such as edibles or vape cartridges, a day.
Since recreational cannabis use officially launched on Aug. 6, total receipts at Ohio dispensaries since sales through Aug. 17 were just under $22.5 million.
