Pharmacist-led dispensary opens in Ewing, featuring Cannabis help desk

Canna Remedies Celebrates Grand Opening of Ewing Dispensary, Aiming to Serve Mercer County.

Canna Remedies, an adult-use cannabis license holder, celebrated the grand opening of its dispensary this week in Ewing, it announced.

The dispensary intends to serve all of Mercer County, including Trenton and beyond. The 7,244-square-foot facility took pains to note it is a friends- and family-owned organization, led by pharmacist Dr. Monica Werkheiser, a graduate of Rutgers University and leading cannabis advocate and educator.

The grand opening attracted local officials and dignitaries, including Ewing Mayor Bert Steinmann, Council President Kevin Baxter and others.

“We are thrilled to open our doors here in Ewing Township,” Werkheiser said. “Our journey has been one of learning, growing and embracing new possibilities. Now, with Canna Remedies, we have the opportunity to educate, offer curated experiences and elevate the standards of wellness through cannabis.”

Canna Remedies features a one-of-a-kind cannabis help desk to foster conversations away from the sales counter — providing customers with information and expert guidance.

The building was built by general contractor V.J. Scozzari & Sons of Pennington, and designed by RGW Architecture as a modern wellness retreat.
