Traffic stop on Georgia interstate leads to seizure of nearly $1 million in Marijuana

The vehicle was searched and Georgia deputies say they discovered 453 pounds of marijuana contained in shrink wrapped bags.

Authorities estimate nearly $1 million worth of marijuana was seized following a traffic stop on a Georgia interstate earlier this week.

According to the Peach County Sheriff's Office, the traffic stop happened Monday on I-75 involving a pickup truck with a camper shell.

The vehicle was searched and authorities say they discovered 453 pounds of marijuana contained in shrink wrapped bags.

They say the street value of the drugs was estimated at $906,000.

The driver, Jia Bin Zhang, 34, of Norman, Okla., is charged with Trafficking in Marijuana.
