Man charged after police seize more than 500 Cannabis plants from property
A man has been charged after police found a cannabis farm in Ormskirk.
550 plants were seized from a property on Southport Road, on Tuesday, November 21. A man was arrested nearby.
18-year-old Sebastian Kovaci, of no fixed address, has been charged with cultivation of a class B drug. He will appear at Preston Magistrates Court this morning (November 23).
Operation warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire.
A police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged following the discovery of a cannabis farm in Ormskirk.
“Officers from West Lancs Task Force executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at a property on Southport Road on Tuesday, November, 21 and seized around 550 cannabis plants.
“A man was arrested nearby.
“18-year-old Sebastian Kovaci of no fixed address has been charged with cultivation of a Class B drug and has been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court this morning.
“Operation warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire and delivering on police and crime commissioner Andrew Snowden's priority of disrupting and dismantling organised crime.
