Cannabis Board to conduct digital license drawings for consumption lounges in December

Las Vegas - The Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB) is gearing up to conduct two digital drawings to determine recipients for independent cannabis consumption lounge licenses next week.

The drawing will select 20 independent cannabis consumption lounge licenses out of the 99 applicants, half of which (10) are designated for social equity applicants.

Recipients will be selected using a computerized random number selector provided by New Jersey-based Smartplay International, Inc.

This system has been widely used for similar drawings, with auditing and consulting firm Henry and Horne set to oversee the event, which will be held on Wednesday, November 30, at 2 p.m.

The drawing will not be open to the public but live-streamed on the CCB’s YouTube page.

The CCB anticipates the first lounges to be licensed and able to open during the first half of 2023.
