Thousands of cannabis edibles that look like shop-bought sweets have been seized.

Police discovered a factory making them in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, and warned parents about the "gummies" or "bites" that could be appealing to young people and teenagers.

Three people have been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and remanded in custody.

"There are concerns that the edibles are being supplied to young people," Dyfed-Powys Police warned.

The force warned the edibles can be "particularly appealing" to young people and teenagers

The force warned parents of the edibles, which it said "do not have the smell or appearance of cannabis".

"Instead, they look and smell like a normal shop-bought food item but can be stronger than other cannabis products," a spokesperson said.

"They may also contain other illicit substances."

The spokesperson added that the edibles can be "particularly appealing" to young people and teenagers, who "may call them gummies or bites".
