The ribbon is cut, Moja Life is officially Trenton’s first legal recreational-use Marijuana dispensary
Trenton Celebrates Opening of First Legal Recreational Cannabis Dispensary, Moja Life.
“We’re open.”
John Dockery marked nearly three years of hard work with those simple words to welcome Trentonians into his new shop.
The ribbon was cut and Dockery was ready to invite friends, supporters, customers, and strangers into Moja Life, the Capital City’s first legal, recreational-use cannabis dispensary, located at 28 S. Warren St. in downtown Trenton.
He thanked everyone in attendance at the ribbon cutting, saying that the only reason he reached this point was thanks to so many of the faces he saw gathered.
As founder of Moja Life, Dockery said he was excited to put all the preparations behind him and begin the new phase.
Dockery had previously talked with The Trentonian about moving from the legacy side of selling marijuana over to the legal side.
Opening the door to customers was just the next step in the journey.
“One job is done, and there’s ten more jobs I just picked up,” Dockery said after the ribbon cutting.
“It feels good to show people from our city that a Trentonian can do this,” Dockery said. “Not a big MSO or some outsider. Somebody from Trenton did it.”
