Dispensary challenges Rhode Island Cannabis law

A Rhode Island cannabis dispensary is challenging the state's legalization law.

The Boston Globe reported that Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center in Portsmouth is fighting the requirement that retailers must enter into labor agreements to sell recreational cannabis.

Workers at Greenleaf voted to unionize in 2021, before the state law passed. The lawsuit also names the members of the new state Cannabis Commission.
