Proposal allowing Rhode Island Cannabis businesses to advertise moves forward
A proposal to allow Rhode Island cannabis companies to advertise is moving forward.

Rules on advertising were supposed to fall under the state's Cannabis Control Commission. But that commission has not been formed yet as it's far behind schedule.

The governor was supposed to nominate members to the cannabis commission by last summer.
His office said extensive background checks on potential members are not done yet.
