LAWTON, Okla. — The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) has made yet another major marijuana bust in Hughes County as part of its ongoing crackdown on illegal cannabis operations across the state. According to an official post on OBN's Facebook page, the agency recently executed a search warrant at DJX Farms, uncovering a sophisticated and fraudulent grow operation.
The raid, carried out by OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Team, was the result of a lengthy investigation into DJX Farms. Authorities revealed that the operators had obtained an OBN registration under false pretenses through a "straw ownership" scheme—a tactic that involves using a front person to hide the true identity of those running the operation. This deceptive practice allowed the growers to bypass state laws and regulatory scrutiny in order to cultivate large quantities of marijuana unlawfully.
During the search, agents seized more than 3,000 cannabis plants along with 118 pounds of processed marijuana. The volume of cannabis uncovered indicates that this was not a small personal grow but a large-scale operation likely intended for black market distribution, bypassing Oklahoma’s regulated medical marijuana system entirely.
While arrests have not yet been made, OBN confirmed that they are pending as the investigation continues to develop. The agency has not released the names of any individuals involved at this stage but is expected to provide updates as the legal process moves forward.
OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Team was supported during the operation by both the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office and the Hughes County Commissioners’ Office.
