([NEWS10](https://www.news10.com/news/schenectady-county/schenectady-dispensary-launches-business-model-to-help-caurd-licensees/))– A Schenectady woman-founded cannabis dispensary was the first to debut a new formal business model for cannabis retailers in the Capital Region on Thursday. Cannabicity, located in Mohawk Harbor, launched the brand, Powered By Cannabicity, as part of their grand opening ceremony for cannabis retail sales. Cannabicity had its [original grand opening in March](https://www.news10.com/news/schenectady-county/cannabicity-celebrating-grand-opening-in-mohawk-harbor/) 2024, but could only sell CBD products at the time. The shop now offers CBD and THC products. The Powered by Cannabicity brand uses a New York law provision allowing retail cannabis license holders to sign partnership agreements with managed service providers. The program announced at the grand opening is only being offered by Cannabicity, and only for retail licensees to partner with Cannabicity. In addition to the new business model, Cannabicity announced its first licensee partner, Coastal Green. The partnership will allow Coastal Green to open a store on Delaware Avenue in Albany, which is now being renovated and estimated to open this summer. Cannabicity’s grand opening sales will continue through Sunday, March 9. Customers who stop by can win up to 50% off their total purchase when they spin the JackPOT Wheel at checkout.     [by NEWS10 ABC](https://www.news10.com/news/schenectady-county/schenectady-dispensary-launches-business-model-to-help-caurd-licensees/) [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) ![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=200&height=200&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) #### [Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) At 420 Intel, we cover cannabis legalization news throughout the world, offer reliable information for cannabis business owners, detail technological advances that impact the marijuana industry, cover marijuana rallies from across the globe, and everything in between. - - - [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) [![How others’ mistakes could help Maryland get Cannabis Legalization right](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/How%20others%E2%80%99%20mistakes%20could%20help%20Maryland%20get%20Cannabis%20Legalization%20right.jpg?width=550&height=395&name=How%20others%E2%80%99%20mistakes%20could%20help%20Maryland%20get%20Cannabis%20Legalization%20right.jpg)](https://420intel.com/blog/how-others-mistakes-could-help-maryland-get-cannabis-legalization-right) - [Admin](https://420intel.com/blog/author/admin) - 7 March 2024 #### [How others’ mistakes could help Maryland get Cannabis Legalization right](https://420intel.com/blog/how-others-mistakes-could-help-maryland-get-cannabis-legalization-right) ## A state of New York notice posted at a business announces the seizure of “illicit cannabis” at a...
