Last week marked a historic milestone for Minnesota’s cannabis market as RISE Dispensaries officially began adult-use cannabis sales statewide. Owned by Green Thumb Industries, RISE Dispensaries celebrated the opening of adult-use sales with a ribbon-cutting ceremony one hour before doors opened at 9 a.m. in New Hope. Guests at the event were treated to music, food, special giveaways, and a first look at Green Thumb’s portfolio of products, reinforcing RISE Dispensaries’ commitment to community and customer experience.
The company announced that profits from the first day of adult-use sales at RISE Dispensaries would be donated to Metro Meals on Wheels and Balanced Veterans Network. These donations highlight how RISE Dispensaries are embedding social impact into their expansion strategy. Balanced Veterans Network praised the collaboration for breaking access barriers to medical cannabis referrals and mindful cannabis use education, while Meals on Wheels expressed gratitude for the support at a time of unprecedented demand.
Customers visiting RISE Dispensaries in Minnesota can choose from a wide range of Green Thumb brands including RYTHM flower, Beboe gummies, Dogwalkers pre-rolls, Good Green pre-rolls, and &Shine vapes and gummies. Green Thumb President Anthony Georgiadis said the launch is about introducing Minnesotans to industry-leading brands while continuing to prioritize medical patients with services such as exclusive curbside pickup and priority parking at select RISE Dispensaries.
In addition to the retail expansion, Green Thumb operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cottage Grove and eight existing RISE Dispensaries throughout the state. Adult-use cannabis products are already available at locations in Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Mankato, New Hope, and Willmar, with new RISE Dispensaries coming soon to Baxter, St. Paul, and St. Cloud. This footprint positions RISE Dispensaries as a leading force in Minnesota’s evolving cannabis market.
Governor Tim Walz recently signed the state’s second Tribal-State Cannabis Compact with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, promoting public health, safety, and economic development. These initiatives are designed to ensure that businesses like RISE Dispensaries can operate in a lawful, transparent market while contributing to local communities.
With adult-use cannabis sales underway and more locations opening soon, RISE Dispensaries is poised to shape the future of Minnesota’s cannabis industry. By combining high-quality products, community partnerships, and regulatory compliance, RISE Dispensaries is setting a new standard for responsible retail in the North Star State.
