    Recall Notice: Valley Cannabis Gummies

Several dispensaries in the Mahoning Valley are being affected by a recent recall involving specific cannabis gummies manufactured by Klutch Processing, LLC. According to the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control (DCC), the recall was issued after discovering that certain cannabis gummies lacked the required universal “THC” symbol on each serving — a crucial labeling requirement for all infused products.

The DCC clarified that every edible must display the “THC” symbol on each individual piece, ensuring consumers can easily identify products containing THC. The recalled cannabis gummies failed to meet this standard, placing them out of compliance with Ohio’s packaging and labeling regulations.

    Affected Cannabis Gummies and Varieties

The products impacted by the recall include Kiva Lost Farms Cannabis-Infused Pectin Gummies in the following varieties:

    • Island Punch (Made with 043 Strain)

    • Thorny Berry (Made with Violet Fog Strain)

    • Watermelon (Made with Ice Cream Cake Strain)

These cannabis gummies were sold between January 14, 2025, and October 22, 2025, at several local dispensaries, including Leaf Relief in Boardman, gLeaf in Warren, and Curaleaf in Girard. Each batch was identified with specific product codes, which were listed in the official DCC recall notice.

    Why the THC Symbol Matters

The universal “THC” symbol is an important safety feature that helps prevent accidental ingestion of cannabis gummies, especially by children or individuals unaware of their THC content. Without this clear marking, there is an increased risk that someone could consume these products unknowingly, potentially leading to unwanted health effects.

    What Consumers Should Do

Anyone who purchased the recalled cannabis gummies should check their packaging for the “THC” symbol. If it’s missing, the product should be returned to the original dispensary for a refund and safe disposal. Consumers who experience any negative side effects after consuming these cannabis gummies are advised to contact their healthcare provider immediately and report the incident to the DCC at 1-833-464-6627.

This recall serves as a reminder for all consumers to double-check product labeling when purchasing cannabis gummies or any THC-infused edible. Always ensure your products come from licensed sources that comply with state safety and labeling standards. Properly labeled cannabis gummies not only protect consumers but also uphold the industry’s reputation for safe and responsible cannabis use.
