## Provincial police seized $1,7 million in illegal cannabis plants and have charged two people following a search of property in Langton.

Members of the Haldimand-Norfolk street crime unit, the OPP emergency response team and Norfolk County bylaw enforcement officers searched the 8th Concession Road, Langton property at about 9:43 a.m. Oct. 5.

The officers found 2,100 illegal cannabis plants worth approximately $1.7 million, police said.

A 43-year-old North York man and a 49-year-old Markham man have bee charged with cultivate, propagate or harvest a cannabis plant from seed or plant material that is illicit cannabis. They are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a future date.
