The state's Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) began accepting applications for on-site consumption areas on January 2, 2025, allowing businesses to create designated spaces where customers can legally use cannabis products. This move comes as New Jersey's legal cannabis market surpasses $1 billion in sales, according to the CRC's latest market report. The timing of this regulatory shift aligns with the upcoming Benzinga Cannabis Market Spotlight: New Jersey event on March 4, 2025, in Somerset. At this event, industry leaders, regulators, and investors will discuss the future of New Jersey's cannabis economy, including the role of consumption lounges.   [Read more on Benzinga](https://www.benzinga.com/news/events/25/02/44041271/new-jersey-opens-door-to-cannabis-lounges-setting-stage-for-industry-expansion) [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) ![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=200&height=200&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) #### [Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) At 420 Intel, we cover cannabis legalization news throughout the world, offer reliable information for cannabis business owners, detail technological advances that impact the marijuana industry, cover marijuana rallies from across the globe, and everything in between. - - - [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) [![New York Cannabis office launches tool to help growers meet state's climate goals](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/New%20York%20Cannabis%20office%20launches%20tool%20to%20help%20growers%20meet%20states%20climate%20goals.jpg?width=550&height=395&name=New%20York%20Cannabis%20office%20launches%20tool%20to%20help%20growers%20meet%20states%20climate%20goals.jpg)](https://420intel.com/blog/new-york-cannabis-office-launches-tool-help-growers-meet-states-climate-goals) - [![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=80&height=80&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) - 5 September 2024 #### [New York Cannabis office launches tool to help growers meet state's climate goals](https://420intel.com/blog/new-york-cannabis-office-launches-tool-help-growers-meet-states-climate-goals) New York Cannabis Licensees Gain New Tool to Meet Climate Goals.
