The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has issued a significant recall affecting multiple adult-use cannabis products produced by IndoGrow, a licensed cannabis producer. The recall was prompted by public health and safety concerns after several products tested positive for unapproved pesticides during a recent round of re-testing.
These cannabis products had previously been quarantined due to questions surrounding the validity of tests conducted by a now-former laboratory authorized by the state. In light of those issues, the OCM authorized the products to be retested. Unfortunately, nine separate product lots failed the new tests, revealing the presence of substances not permitted under New York's strict cannabis safety guidelines.
As a result, the Office of Cannabis Management has mandated that all licensed dispensaries and distributors immediately halt the sale and distribution of the affected products. The recall impacts both flower and pre-roll products currently available across dispensaries throughout New York State.
The specific products named in the recall include:
-
The Force Pre-Roll
-
Blue Coffee Flower
-
Blue Coffee Pre-Roll
-
Sour Runtz Flower
-
Sour Runtz Pre-Roll
-
Cosmic Burst Flower
-
Oreoz Flower
-
Oreoz Pre-Roll
-
Secret Formula Flower
In addition to these brand names, the recalled items may also be marketed under alternate labels such as Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, or Grow with Us.
Consumers who have purchased any of these products are advised to stop using them immediately. The OCM is urging the public to report any adverse effects or health issues potentially linked to the consumption of these products.
This recall highlights the importance of rigorous testing and quality control in the rapidly growing legal cannabis market. New York’s cannabis regulations are designed to ensure product safety, especially as the adult-use market expands. This situation also underscores the ongoing need for transparency and accountability from licensed producers and testing laboratories.
As the investigation continues, cannabis consumers across the state are encouraged to stay informed about recalls and product advisories by monitoring official updates from the Office of Cannabis Management.
For now, the state is working closely with dispensaries and distributors to remove the affected products from shelves and to protect public health.
