Green Goods Debuts Cannabis Retail in Moorhead

MOORHEAD — A Moorhead business has taken another step to make marijuana more accessible. Green Goods dispensary opened a new store on Thursday, Nov. 6, marking a major milestone for cannabis accessibility in Minnesota. The company will now offer adult-use products alongside the medical-use products they have successfully sold for the last decade.

The new Green Goods location officially opened its doors at 10 a.m., inviting both medical patients and recreational consumers to explore a wide range of cannabis options. From pre-rolls to beverages, Green Goods is expanding its catalog to meet the growing demand for safe, high-quality marijuana products in the region.

Vireo Growth President Amber Shimpa said that their adult-use license allows the business to reach more people than ever before. Vireo Growth owns and operates all Green Goods dispensaries across the state. “The addition of adult use for us to be able to welcome adult use customers into this space now is truly exciting for our team, and I think for Minnesotans as well. Folks have been wanting this for a long time and have been waiting for a very long time in order to be able to access safe, quality cannabis,” Shimpa said.

According to Shimpa, this expansion represents a long-awaited step forward for both the company and the community. For years, Green Goods has served as a trusted source of medical cannabis for patients, and now it is positioned to play a leading role in the recreational cannabis market.

The new Moorhead store opening underscores how Green Goods continues to set the standard for accessibility and safety in Minnesota’s evolving cannabis industry. As adult-use legalization gains traction statewide, Green Goods is ready to serve a broader audience while maintaining the same dedication to patient care and product transparency.

The ability to purchase both medical and recreational cannabis products under one roof is something many have anticipated. Green Goods ensures that all products meet strict safety and quality standards, giving consumers confidence in what they’re buying.

As Minnesota embraces this new era of cannabis reform, businesses like Green Goods are leading the way by providing responsible access and education to the public. Shimpa emphasized that this moment is not only about business growth but also about community progress and consumer empowerment.

With its new location, Green Goods reaffirms its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and accessibility in the cannabis market — values that continue to guide its mission and vision for the future.
