As the state gears up for the launch of its adult-use cannabis market, Gov. John Carney (D) gave final approval to the banking legislation from Rep. Ed Osienski (D) and Sen. Trey Paradee (D) last week. This comes nearly four months after the measure cleared the legislature. The measure is designed to clarify that banks, credit unions, armored car services and accounting services providers are not subject to state-level prosecution simply for working with cannabis businesses. When the bill was being taken up in the Senate in June, Osienski said lawmakers "want Delaware's safe and regulated industry to out-compete the illegal market."   [by MMJ Daily](https://www.mmjdaily.com/article/9669613/us-de-governor-signs-bill-protecting-banks-that-work-in-cannabis-industry/?utm_medium=email) [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) [Recreational Cannabis News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/recreational-cannabis-news) ![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=200&height=200&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) #### [Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) At 420 Intel, we cover cannabis legalization news throughout the world, offer reliable information for cannabis business owners, detail technological advances that impact the marijuana industry, cover marijuana rallies from across the globe, and everything in between. - - - [Cannabis Business News](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-business-news) [![Cannabis Legalization Does Not Lead To Increased Cannabis Use in Youth, Report States](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/cannabis-Jan-14-2025-01-54-52-3842-PM.jpeg?width=550&height=395&name=cannabis-Jan-14-2025-01-54-52-3842-PM.jpeg)](https://420intel.com/blog/cannabis-legalization-does-not-lead-to-increased-cannabis-use-in-youth-report-states) - [![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=80&height=80&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) - 14 January 2025 #### [Cannabis Legalization Does Not Lead To Increased Cannabis Use in Youth, Report States](https://420intel.com/blog/cannabis-legalization-does-not-lead-to-increased-cannabis-use-in-youth-report-states) The Marijuana Policy Project examined national and state-level data on percentages of student...
