Provincial cannabis retailer Cannabis NB has announced another successful year, achieving a net income of $23.1 million from total sales of $100.9 million in its 2024–2025 fiscal year, which ended on March 30, 2025. The result marks a 7.6% increase in sales and a 1.5% rise in net income over the previous year. Thanks to these strong results, Cannabis NB contributed $18.7 million back to the province to help fund public programs and services.
Sales performance across categories showed steady growth in most areas. Dried flower remained the top performer, generating $50.9 million in sales or 50.5% of total revenue. Concentrates followed with $33.8 million, while edibles accounted for $7.2 million. Other product categories included accessories at $2.8 million, infused beverages at $2.7 million, extracts at $2.5 million, topicals at $657,000, clones at $255,000, and seeds at $95,000. Although some smaller categories declined, Cannabis NB saw growth in most key product segments.
In terms of volume, Cannabis NB sold 8,405 kilograms of dried cannabis, 4,234 kilograms in concentrates (measured in dried flower equivalent), and 1,326 kilograms in edibles.
Over the past year, Cannabis NB offered 1,432 products from across Canada, including 495 from Ontario, 321 from New Brunswick, and 176 from Quebec. The portfolio featured 120 concentrate SKUs, 44 pre-rolls, 43 whole flower products, and 36 edibles. Employing 263 people, Cannabis NB maintained profit margins ranging from 46% to 69.8%, depending on the product line.
On the retail front, Cannabis NB expanded its reach by opening a new store in Hanwell, marking its 30th provincial location. In total, New Brunswick now has 10 private cannabis retailers and seven farmgate partners operating in over 30 communities.
The organization also emphasized consumer education and community engagement. The Expo Cannabis event, held in March 2025, attracted nearly 1,000 visitors and featured over 30 supply partners. The Expo even included an on-site Cannabis NB store, allowing attendees to experience products firsthand.
Additionally, the CNB Learning Symposium in Moncton brought together employees for professional development and collaboration. Looking ahead, Cannabis NB has launched its 2025 Holiday Countdown Calendar, featuring 34 unique products from 17 brands another example of its commitment to innovation and consumer engagement.
Through strong performance, community outreach, and continued product expansion, Cannabis NB remains a leader in Canada’s evolving cannabis retail market.
