We’ve already defeated repeal efforts in multiple states and remain committed to defeating prohibition bills in several others. In Ohio, we have mobilized over ten thousand advocates to contact their lawmakers demanding that they uphold the will of the people. In Michigan and Maryland, we’re fighting outrageous tax hikes. In Virginia, we defeated multiple efforts to strip away consumers’ workplace rights and a bill to allow law enforcement to stop drivers based solely on the claim that an officer “smelled marijuana.” But there’s still much more to do and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Freedom isn’t free, and it doesn’t come without a fight. At NORML, we work every day for you, the cannabis consumer. We’re fighting back against a powerful minority that wants to turn millions of responsible consumers back into criminals. That’s why we, the majority, need to stand up and be heard. Please give to NORML today to ensure that we can continue the fight and that we can continue to be there when you need us.   [by NORML](https://norml.org/blog/2025/02/25/cannabis-freedoms-are-under-attack/) [Cannabis Politics](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-politics) ![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=200&height=200&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) #### [Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) At 420 Intel, we cover cannabis legalization news throughout the world, offer reliable information for cannabis business owners, detail technological advances that impact the marijuana industry, cover marijuana rallies from across the globe, and everything in between. - - - [Cannabis Politics](https://420intel.com/blog/tag/cannabis-politics) [![Breaking: DEA Attorney in MMJ Marijuana Case Lacks Good Standing in Bar, Raising Ethical Concerns](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/The%20image%20depicts%20a%20stern%20modern%20legal%20office%20filled%20with%20a%20sense%20of%20tension%20A%20large%20wooden%20desk%20dominates%20the%20foreground%20strewn%20with%20legal%20documents%20a%20laptop%20and%20a%20halfempty%20coffee%20cup%20suggesting%20long%20hours%20of%20work%20In%20the%20background%20a%20wall%20lined%20wit-1.jpeg?width=550&height=395&name=The%20image%20depicts%20a%20stern%20modern%20legal%20office%20filled%20with%20a%20sense%20of%20tension%20A%20large%20wooden%20desk%20dominates%20the%20foreground%20strewn%20with%20legal%20documents%20a%20laptop%20and%20a%20halfempty%20coffee%20cup%20suggesting%20long%20hours%20of%20work%20In%20the%20background%20a%20wall%20lined%20wit-1.jpeg)](https://420intel.com/blog/breaking-dea-attorney-in-mmj-marijuana-case-lacks-good-standing-in-bar-raising-ethical-concerns) - [![Buzz](https://420intel.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png?width=80&height=80&name=Buzz-No%20Outline-2.png) Buzz](https://420intel.com/blog/author/buzz) - 7 April 2025 #### [Breaking: DEA Attorney in MMJ Marijuana Case Lacks Good Standing in Bar, Raising Ethical Concerns](https://420intel.com/blog/breaking-dea-attorney-in-mmj-marijuana-case-lacks-good-standing-in-bar-raising-ethical-concerns) WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESS Newswire / April 6, 2025 / New Jersey Bar records obtained by MMJ...
