Medical Marijuana sales reach nearly $234M
Arkansas Medical Marijuana Sales Approach $234 Million in 2023.
From Jan 1 through the end of October, patients in Arkansas spent nearly $234 million on medical marijuana to obtain 50,406 pounds.
This included $22.5 million in October purchased in October.
Comparing 2023 to 2022, sales through the first ten months totals $228.4 million vs $234 million this year. The state has collected $25.9 million in tax revenue from medical marijuana in 2023. More than $115.35 has been collected by the state since 2019.
A monthly breakdown of sales, provided by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, shows Plant Family Therapeutics of Mountain Home having sold 125.88 pounds in October, while ten dispensaries sold more than 200 pounds.
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 97,646 active patient cards. In January 2023, the Department reported 89,855 active patient cards.
Suite 443 (Hot Springs) sold the largest amount at 505.70 pounds. Natural Relief Dispensary (Sherwood) followed with 429.66 pounds. In October, a combined total of 5,427 punds have been sold.
