Having received over 800 submissions, Veriheal has stated its scholarship funding demonstrates its commitment to supporting the education and innovation of aspiring leaders and innovators in the cannabis community.

Since 2020, Veriheal has awarded $85,000 in scholarships to students seeking to change the evolving cannabis industry.

Co-founder of Veriheal, Joshua Green, commented: “The high number of submissions and the exceptional quality of ideas this year speaks volumes about the passion and vision of the next generation of cannabis leaders.

“We’re thrilled to support and empower the minds and futures of those who will undoubtedly shape the industry.”

Veriheal selected the following recipients as winners:

  • Quemarr Moatamedi – University of Montana
  • Maya Woods-Arthur – Harvard University
  • Jensyn Huynh – Texas A&M University

Applicants were tasked with submitting a forward-thinking essay, a minimum of 1000 words, on how to enhance the cannabis industry, demonstrating creativity, sustainability, and a vision for the future. Next year’s Innovation in Cannabis Scholarship will open for submissions in Spring 2024. U.S. college students and high school seniors who are interested in the world of cannabis are strongly encouraged to apply.
