Romeoville Approves Special use for Cannabis Dispensary Relocation

The business would occupy a 7,700-square-foot anchor space at 412 Weber Drive.

Verilife Cannabis Dispensary in Romeoville will relocate to a new location, after the Romeoville Village Board approved a special use permit at its Wednesday meeting.

Verilife has operated as a medical cannabis dispensary since 2019, and began serving both medical and adult-use cannabis customers in January 2020, according to Board documents.

Community Development Director Josh Potter said the business would occupy a 7,700-square-foot anchor space at Carillon Court Shopping Center, at 412 Weber Drive.

"This unit has been vacant for about six years," Potter said.

Verilife operates 54 dispensaries and 10 cultivation facilities across the United States, Potter said.

The business currently operates at 1335 Lakeside Drive, Unit 4. Previous owners were approved for a license at that location in 2016, before Verilife acquired the license in 2019.

"They've been looking for a more prominent retail location with better access and improved parking for some time now," Potter said.

The Village Board unanimously approved the special use permit for the business.
