Marijuana has uses for Lousiana

Louisiana lawmakers have convened the 2015 legislative session. Already multiple bills have been filed to change how the state treats marijuana consumers, including those who use marijuana for medical purposes.

Marijuana's medicinal value covers both mental and physical health. Legislation's been introduced that seeks to create a compassionate medical marijuana program. Bills are also pending that propose reducing Louisiana's extreme penalties for marijuana possession. Finally, a bill has been introduced that would ask voters if Louisiana should tax and regulate marijuana. Marijuana's much safer than legalized and regulated alcohol: There are no reported incidents of cannabis killing anyone or anyone overdosing on it. It also has revenue value to the state. States that have chosen to legalize it are benefitting greatly from it.
